Introducing Botox for your Hair!

Botox isn’t just for fine lines and wrinkles! Our hair shows signs of aging just as our skin does. Over time, we produce less Keratin (the building block of hair), causing the hair to lose it’s luster and become more prone to breakage.

We’re thrilled to now offer Hair Botox at Current Salon, which works to reverse damage to hair, while also hydrating and smoothing your strands. The formula works through each individual strand, coating it with lost protein for shinier, more voluminous hair. We use the Aid Protein Splush formula, the first of its kind to be produced without paraben-based preservatives.

How does Hair Botox work?

We begin by washing your hair with a purifying cleanser to get rid of any residue,  and bring your hair to the ideal pH balance for treatment. After rinsing, we’ll massage the protein conditioner into your hair, which is left on for 3-4 minutes. This formula is designed to open the cuticle of the hair, prepping it for the final treatment stage. A leave-in treatment mask is then applied to your hair. This is followed by blow drying, which activates protein crystallization throughout your strands. We then seal the hair with a 450-degree hair straightener. You’ll leave the salon with noticeably softer, shinier hair that packs more volume and is far less prone to breakage! Hair can be washed or get wet in the pool immediately following treatment.

What results can I expect?

Our Hair Botox treatment enhances your hair’s natural texture, leaving it shinier, smoother and stronger. The coating effect of the treatment can increase hair volume by up to 44%, particular in thin hair. If your hair is naturally straight, you can expect it to appear shinier and straighter. If your hair is curly, you’ll see more definition in your curls and less frizz. Clients can expect to see the most dramatic strength and shine benefits in the first three weeks following treatment.

How is Hair Botox different from Keratin treatments?

Both Hair Botox and Keratin will give you shinier, smoother, healthier hair, and each drastically reduces frizz. The primary difference with Keratin treatments is the straightening effect. Hair Botox, on the other hand, is a deep conditioning treatment  that enhances your hair’s natural texture.
