“The best part about being a stylist is making people feel good! I get a great sense of joy to see clients walk out of my chair with a smile on their face!”

Hazel Sahin received her hair and makeup education at the Monroe Technology Center in Leesburg, Virginia. Previous to working for Current Salon and Color Bar, she worked at several salons over the course of a five-year period. Hazel received her initial training, however, working for her family’s salon as a salon assistant for much of her young adulthood. This experience helped mature her talent into the seasoned professional she is today.

While Hazel’s talents afford her the luxury of meeting all of her clients’ styling requests, she especially enjoys crafting hair and makeup styles for weddings and other special occasions. She also specializes in color treatments, lending great insight into Ombre and Balayage. Hazel explains, “I make sure to go beyond my clients’ expectations, giving them ideas for hairstyles and cuts they may never have thought of before.”

Hazel is very into the arts, being an artist herself. She spends much of her free time sketching and drawing. She brings this creative savvy into the hair and makeup work she performs. “Hair and makeup are where I put most of my artistic energy,” says Hazel.

Hazel is also an avid traveler, having travelled to Europe numerous times. While abroad, Hazel pays close attention to new and different hair and makeup trends, to introduce them here at home to her clients. “When I am travelling overseas, I like to frequent industry hair shows to remain current on behalf of my clients ,” says Hazel.

Customers of Hazel Sahin will surely be uplifted into a new look inspired by her artistry and international flair. “The best part about being a stylist is making people feel good,” says Hazel. “I get a great sense of joy to see clients walk out of my chair with smiles on their faces.”
